The handlebar is entirely manufactured with carbon fiber, with an exclusive combination of bidirectional and unidirectional fabrics with the right orientation to achieve the best weight-resistance-stiffness ratio, always keeping in mind your safety. The proper arrangement of fiber layers has been achieved after finite element calculations and destructive tests. This type of laminate can only be achieved with a completely handmade construction with a location of the carbon layers made by hand on each handlebar, with a number and arrangement of different layers at each point. The center diameter is 31.8 mm, adapted to the current standards.

The upper part has a flattened shape to increase comfort during hours of riding. In the lower part it has external grooves for brake and shifters cables.

Measures: Currently manufactured in widths of 360-380-400-420-440mm measured from center to center. With a “compact” shape it has 77mm reach and 128mm drop.

Triathlon extension: The central zone has a sufficient width for assembling extensions, but you must request a specifically reinforced version.

Weight limit: The Darimo handlebar is safe and exceeds the tests of the ISO 4210-2 standard, so it is valid for an overall system weight (bicycle, cyclist, luggage) of maximum 110 kg. In case of riders weighting more than 90kg, we recommend a reinforced version for a stiffness increase.

Nexum Drag stem/handlebar unit weighs 218g (380 mm/100 mm/-6°/6° flare), which is less than most road handlebars without a stem. Thanks to the many variations, everyone will find the right setup for themselves and their bike. Titanium bolts and aluminum barrel nuts help to save even more weight and ensure reliable clamping on the steerer tube.

The stem/handlebar unit is available in different finishes and in handlebar widths of 360 mm, 380 mm, 400 mm, 420 mm or 440 mm, measured from center to center. There is a choice of stem lengths from 70 mm to 130 mm in 10 mm increments and stem angles of -6° or -12°. Darimo has also taken into account the desire for different flare variations, so the Gravel version with its flare of 16° and a flare out of a further 5° at the handlebar ends offers you a high degree of freedom of movement and plenty of safety and comfort in the drop. If you want something less, we recommend the Road versions with 0° or 6° flare. All versions on offer have a compact reach of 77 mm and 128 mm drop. The flat top link minimizes the area exposed to the wind and also allows your hands to be supported comfortably, so you can ride long distances without getting tired. Laminated guides on the underside for brake and shift cables help you to mount everything perfectly.

The stem can be clamped to the steerer tube with a maximum torque of 4 Nm. A torque of up to 4 Nm is also permitted in the clamping area of the shift/brake levers. Please approach the required torque for secure fastening and do not exceed the maximum values. We recommend using a high-quality carbon paste during assembly. The existing stem clamping surface must be at least 32 mm. Two M5 threaded bushes are laminated underneath the handlebars with a distance of 29 mm between them. At this point you can securely attach a computer holder or similar accessories.

In order to achieve the sensational weight of 218g (380 mm/100 mm/-6°), to pass the standard ISO 4210-2 test and to be able to approve the components up to 90 kg system weight, Darimo Carbon uses a specially developed lamination process. Depending on the handlebar width and stem length, the layer structure is optimally adapted.

Speciale 26 is a handlebar for the traditionalists. Speciale 26 has the most classic handlebar geometry in the history of cycling, the Italian round. If you’re restoring a bike for L’Eroica, this will do the job beautifully. Fabricated out of 6061 aluminum and available in three widths 42, 44, and 46 cm, measured outside-to-outside, with high polished finish.
