Suspension Bearing

ENDURO 3800 MAX Suspension Bearing – 10mm x 19mm x 8mm

ENDURO

Enduro Bearings pioneered MAX type bearings over 20 years ago for bicycles to address the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX-type bearings provide 35-40% more load capacity than standard Angular-Contact bearings by utilizing a special design where the maximum number of balls are inserted into the bearing, via a custom ground slot in the races. The additional balls, combined with deep race grooves in these bearings providing greater lateral support for the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots.

The extra-wide double-row design greatly reduces flex in the suspension linkage while doubling the bearing contact area. This bearing has been used as a suspension pivot bearing by Trek bicycles.

3800 MAX | Abec-3
  • Deep groove design races
  • Grade 10 balls (high carbon chromium steel)
  • Fill with Almagard extra high pressure grease
  • Static load: 211lbf / 0.94kN

This extra wide bearing is used primarily used by White Industries in their rear hubs. The extra wide design greatly reduces flex in axle of the rear hub. The Enduro line of bearings are available in high-carbon chromium steel, 440C stainless steel, ceramic-hybrid and XD-15 with ceramic or stainless balls. Enduro's bearings are always engineered with deepest groove races possible to accommodate the largest balls and feature dual-lip seals that ride in a micro-groove creating a full labyrinth to provide superior protection against the elements.

WHICH BEARING TO CHOOSE? 3802W | Abec-3 • Deep groove design races • Grade 10 balls (high carbon chromium steel) • Fill with high pressure water proof grease • Static load: 564lbf / 2.51kN • Weight: 10.5g

CXD 3802W | XD-15 the ultimate upgrade The most impressive feature of XD-15 ceramic-hybrid bearings is, unlike other bearings, they only get better with time and use. As the bearings wear-in, the super-hard ceramic balls actually make the XD-15 races even smoother. So, when compared to other ceramic-hybrid bearings on the market that claim speed and power advantages on day one, Enduro XD-15 bearings not only provide the same initial advantages on day one, but will become faster and smoother with time and use, while the other ceramic-hybrid options will only get slower. Enduro is so confident in the performance of their XD-15 Ceramic-Hybrid bearings that they carry a limited lifetime warranty against wear and corrosion. • Deep groove design corrosion-proof, cryogenically treated nitrogen steel races • Grade 5 balls (Silicon-Nitride Ceramic) increase bearing life • Fill Kluber NBU52 grease that runs smoother with time and highly resistant to being washed out • Static load: 564lbf / 2.51kN • Weight: 10.5g

Enduro Bearings pioneered MAX type bearings over 20 years ago for bicycles to address the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX-type bearings provide 35-40% more load capacity than standard radial bearings by utilizing a special design where the maximum number of balls are inserted into the bearing, via a custom ground slot in the races. The additional balls, combined with deep race grooves in these bearings provide greater lateral support for the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots.

When properly installed (black seal facing in) and adjusted, Enduro Angular Contact (A/C) bearings engage all of the bearing's balls to spread the force over a larger surface area, decreasing friction, minimizing wear and increasing bearing life.

This bearing has been used as a suspension pivot bearing by Yeti.
